Booking Terms & Cancellation Policy

By submitting a reservation and payment for a Hillary Tilton Atelier journey, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Booking Terms & Cancellation Policy.

Reservations & Deposit

Trip pricing is stated per guest and is based on the occupancy selected at the time of booking.

A $1,500 non-refundable and non-transferable reservation deposit per guest is required to secure your place. The deposit is applied toward the total cost of your journey.

Because each journey is intentionally limited in size and accommodations and experiences are reserved well in advance, your place is not confirmed until your deposit and required registration information have been received.

Payments

Payments may be made using the payment methods offered at the time of booking.

Final Payment

The remaining trip balance is due according to the payment schedule provided for your specific journey.

Failure to submit final payment by the stated deadline may result in cancellation of your reservation and forfeiture of payments already made.

Payment deadlines and instructions will be provided at the time of booking.

Cancellations by the Guest

All cancellations must be submitted in writing.

The $1,500 reservation deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.

For cancellations received:

  • More than 60 days before the journey begins: Payments made beyond the non-refundable reservation deposit will be refunded.

  • 31–60 days before the journey begins: 50% of the total trip price is non-refundable.

  • 30 days or fewer before the journey begins: 100% of the total trip price is non-refundable.

Trip payments and reservations may not be transferred to another person or applied to a future journey unless otherwise agreed to in writing by Hillary Tilton Atelier.

Because unexpected circumstances can arise, comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is not included in the cost of your journey.

Guests are strongly encouraged to purchase coverage that may include trip cancellation and interruption, medical expenses, emergency evacuation, travel delays, and lost or delayed baggage.

Hillary Tilton Atelier is not responsible for losses resulting from a guest’s decision not to purchase travel insurance or for expenses that are not covered by a guest’s chosen policy.

Guests are responsible for reviewing and understanding the terms and exclusions of their individual travel insurance policy.

Itinerary Changes

Hillary Tilton Atelier carefully curates each journey, but travel sometimes requires flexibility.

Itineraries, activities, guides, restaurants, workshops, transportation arrangements, and accommodations may be modified when necessary due to availability, scheduling changes, closures, weather, strikes, transportation disruptions, safety concerns, vendor changes, cost considerations, or other circumstances.

When a planned experience becomes unavailable, every reasonable effort will be made to provide a suitable alternative of comparable quality or character.

Such changes do not constitute grounds for a refund.

Cancellation or Changes by Hillary Tilton Atelier

Hillary Tilton Atelier reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or materially alter a journey when circumstances make it necessary to do so, including insufficient enrollment or events beyond our reasonable control.

If a journey is canceled by Hillary Tilton Atelier for reasons within our control, guests will be provided information regarding applicable refunds or alternatives.

Hillary Tilton Atelier is not responsible for non-refundable airfare, travel insurance premiums, additional accommodations, or other expenses incurred independently by a guest. For this reason, guests are encouraged to purchase appropriate travel insurance and to consider flexible airfare whenever possible.

Minimum Participation

Each journey is designed for a small group and may require a minimum number of registered guests to operate.

If minimum participation is not reached, Hillary Tilton Atelier reserves the right to cancel the journey. Guests will be notified as promptly as reasonably possible and provided with applicable options regarding payments made to Hillary Tilton Atelier.

Guests are strongly encouraged not to purchase non-refundable airfare until the trip has been confirmed to operate.

Accommodations

Accommodations are provided in a thoughtfully selected boutique hotel in Paris.

Room categories and bedding configurations may vary. Single-occupancy pricing provides a private room for one guest. Double-occupancy pricing is per person and is based on two guests sharing one room.

Guests booking double occupancy are responsible for identifying their roommate unless otherwise specifically arranged in writing.

Hotel incidentals and personal charges are the responsibility of the guest and may require a credit card at check-in.

Guests wishing to extend their stay before or after the journey are responsible for the cost of additional accommodations. When possible, Hillary Tilton Atelier may provide information about extending a stay at the host hotel, but additional nights are subject to hotel availability and pricing.

Arrival, Departure & Airport Transfers

Guests are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from Paris.

Private airport transfers are included only on the designated arrival and departure dates and according to the guidelines provided for each journey.

Guests arriving or departing outside the designated transfer parameters may be responsible for arranging and paying for their own transportation.

Specific arrival and departure guidance will be provided before travel.

Eligibility

All participants must be at least 18 years of age as of the first day of the trip. Hillary Tilton Atelier trips are designed and operated as adult-only group travel experiences.

Physical Requirements & Walking

Paris is best experienced on foot, and participation in these journeys requires a reasonable level of mobility and stamina.

Guests should be prepared to walk approximately 3–5 miles on many days, including on cobblestones, uneven pavement, stairs, museums, markets, and public spaces where elevators or seating may not always be available.

Guests are responsible for determining whether they are physically able to participate comfortably in the planned activities.

Please contact Hillary Tilton Atelier before booking if you have questions about the physical requirements of the journey or require specific accommodations.

Independent Time & Activities

Each itinerary includes periods of independent time so guests can shop, dine, rest, or explore at their own pace.

During independent time, guests are responsible for their own transportation, purchases, meals, activities, and personal safety.

Hillary Tilton Atelier is not responsible for activities or services independently arranged by guests.

Passports & Travel Documents

Each guest is solely responsible for obtaining and carrying a valid passport and any visas, authorizations, or other documents required for international travel.

Entry requirements may change. Guests should verify current requirements with the appropriate government authorities well in advance of departure.

Failure to obtain required travel documentation does not entitle a guest to a refund.

Dietary Needs & Allergies

We will make reasonable efforts to communicate dietary restrictions and food allergies to restaurants and experience providers when notified in advance.

However, Hillary Tilton Atelier cannot guarantee that any restaurant, kitchen, hotel, or other third-party provider will be completely free of allergens or able to accommodate every dietary requirement.

Guests with serious allergies or medical dietary needs are responsible for determining whether a particular meal or venue is appropriate for them.

Third-Party Providers

Hillary Tilton Atelier works with independent hotels, transportation companies, guides, restaurants, museums, workshop providers, and other third parties to create each journey.

These providers operate independently and may maintain their own policies, restrictions, and terms.

Hillary Tilton Atelier is not responsible for acts, omissions, delays, cancellations, losses, injuries, or other circumstances caused by independent third-party providers or events beyond our reasonable control.

Personal Responsibility

Guests are responsible for their own conduct, personal belongings, health, and safety while traveling.

Hillary Tilton Atelier reserves the right to require a guest to leave the journey if their behavior is disruptive, unsafe, unlawful, or materially interferes with the experience or well-being of other guests. In such circumstances, refunds will not be provided for unused portions of the journey.

Participant Waiver & Release

As a condition of participation, each guest will be required to review and sign a separate Participant Waiver, Release of Liability, and Assumption of Risk before departure.

The waiver will be provided after registration and must be completed by the deadline communicated before the journey. Failure to complete the required waiver may result in the guest being unable to participate in the journey, and applicable cancellation terms will still apply.

The waiver addresses the inherent risks associated with international travel and participation in trip activities and contains additional terms regarding assumption of risk, release of liability, and personal responsibility.

Acceptance of Terms

By completing your reservation and submitting payment, you confirm that you have reviewed and agree to these Booking Terms & Cancellation Policy.

These terms apply in addition to any trip-specific information provided at the time of booking.
